SACRED SASONS OF GATHERING
The village keeps a calendar the way our grandparents did.
Revival in the summer, harvest in the fall, and the family table all year long.
Each August
The Gilead Jubilee Weekend
Our signature annual homecoming: preaching under the tent, music on the grounds, the long table, and a return to the land. The tradition begins with the Founding Revival on August 6, 2026, and continues every August after.
Clergy Renewal
The Juniper Tree
A retreat in the spirit of 1 Kings 19 for weary pastors. Elijah was fed, allowed to sleep, and met by the still small voice; we offer the same food, rest, spiritual direction, and space to hear God again. Individual stays and clergy cohorts, with scholarship support for bivocational pastors.
Seasonal
Sankofa Youth Rites of Passage
A heritage-rooted formation journey for the next generation, built on the Nguzo Saba values and the Sankofa pilgrimage. Young people discover identity, calling, and covenant on the same ground where their great-great-grandparents learned to read. The Freedom Cohort of 901 Rising launches in fall 2026.
Quarterly
5th-Sunday Camp Meeting
An old-time gathering on the grounds: songs, table, testimony, and trees as witness. Every fifth Sunday, the way the saints used to do it.
Around Dr. King’s Birthday
Beloved Community Table
A dinner and dialogue convening the work of the beloved community across lines of race, tradition, and town — because the table is where Kentucky heals.
Marriage Ministry
Naked & Unashamed
Led by Dr. Stacy L. Spencer and Lady Rhonda Spencer. Couples intensives, Eden Restored retreats, the Eden Circle online community, premarital and restoration counseling, and a clergy couples cohort. We make space for the conversations the church too often skips.
